Default Colorado to Florida road trip to bring back wife's S-Type

Hey y'all, as they say down here in the South, although I'm a transplanted Indiana yankee. First time on Jag forum, but have been around other forums for a while, I'm 55chevy on Jalopy Journal, AACA and 67-72 Chevy trucks. Came from Ft Wayne/Kendallville IN by way of SE Alabama, been here almost 3 years, I would complain about how hot it is here but I don't miss shoveling snow, and the winters are getting colder.

Flew to Denver last Thursday to pick up a black 2000 S-Type, 91k miles, drove right back overnight, made Tulsa Fri morning and stopped to visit my brother for a few hours, had a ride along that helped driving. Headed out again about 4pm, dark soon so didn't get to see any scenery in Arkansas, Lousiana or Mississippi. Stopped a couple times for naps, made it to Florida Saturday morning about 6, and crashed most all day LOL.

Trouble free ride, although once home I found a slight coolant leak on the overflow bottle return line at a plastic tee, which broke while I was examining it, glad it waited. Replaced it with a reliable brass tee, the old tee had big plastic molded 'clamps' on 2 sides, and a hose clamp on the other, what a goofy setup.

Only problem with the car is a dented rear chrome bumperette, and the trunk release switch on the dash quit working. The remote still opens the trunk, so I suspect it may be the switch, it worked for me a couple times but not now.

Wife loves it, she wanted a black one and that was the one of the few black ones I found with a 3.0 and under 100k miles.

I do most of my own mechanic work, hopefully it won't be anything major.
