Default Dismantling Late XK and XF

Hello,

I recently joined and posted to the XK thread and have been urged to post here.

About 2 months ago I opened a dismantling yard specializing in late model jags. I have several for parts and really like the XK alloy body in particular. I don't plan on using this forum to advertise my business but would rather answer questions and try to help members.

I owned and operated Mazda Recycling for 15 years. It is great to now dismantle and drive cars that I love. I do sell used parts but also rebuild and drive Jaguars and Porsche.

Welocme to the forum, reading your post i noticed that you dismantel jaguar & Porsche for resale parts and build as well. Now that brings up a question about my 1977 Porsche 911 manual gear box. Now beaten up, kicked and put to rest/rot by my grand children, in front carport . Some how if possible, i would like to bring this ageless beauty back to life. The engine was running well when I parked it due to severe bad back pain and the Manual clutch on the 911 don't help you back any at all. So if you do come across a 1977 911 body in a descent condition please drop me a line tajmahal@coralwave.com 242-424-1846 cell phone. But my main concern at the momentis the XJ8 Jaguar. The valve #7 is making a nocking sound and the mechanic is about to take the valve cover pan off and maybe the cylinder head too. By doing so well know the damage done to the head.

Many thanks
