Hello from Flagstaff AZ

Hello all.. I bought a 2005 XK8 convertible about 6 months ago and have been loving it ever since. It has the typical Jaguar quirks with things that don't work quite as you would expect them to, but darn is she classy.

Some issues I will be looking into/potentially asking about are a problematic coolant level warning message, DSC warning message, leaking hydraulics above the windshield, inoperable passenger side seat heater and seat controls, pulsating rpms at low speeds, and probably many more.

So far I have put an intake and exhaust from Mina gallery (sounds amazing!), fixed a cracked thermostat housing, and ordered a bunch of bits from the dealer.

This is my first RWD V8 daily driver and I can say I never want to go back to a 4-cylinder!

Cheers to all and thanks for making this a great site!

PS If anyone is interested in knowing what my vehicular progression was up 'til now: (in chronological order)

1981 VW Rabbit Diesel
1995 Dodge Neon
1976 VW Beetle
1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cruiser Wagon
1979 VW Rabbit Diesel
2004 Hyundai Elantra
1981 VW Rabbit Diesel Truck
1966 Ford Mustang Coupe C-code
2006 Ford F150 lifted 6" w/ 37" tires
1992 VW Cabriolet
1962 VW Beetle (still have)
1968 Ford F100 4wd 4spd 352c.i. V8 (currently for sale)
2005 Jaguar XK8 (my baby)
2000 BMW M5 (awaiting delivery)

As you can tell, we are potentially schizophrenic.

Hi, welcome to the forums - Getting snow in Flag yet? Very nice looking car. Every concern you raise has been discussed/dealt with on the XK8 forum, so consider searching for some info along with posting.

Best,

Thanks, guys.

I did some searching this morning and found potential answers to my problems. Now I just have to work through the possibilities... That's half the fun of owning a jaguar, right?

And no snow has stuck yet. Supposed to get some accumulation on Sunday. :-/
