Default Hello from Ft Myers, FL... '96 XJS 4.0

So I was lunching w/ an ole Fraternity brother (Ga Tech). As he was leaving, I noticed the "for sale" sign in the rear window... so I bought it! Runs good, top works, no rust. Seems only minor routine maintenance needed.

(Look close and you will note the driver-side hood hinge not clamping. I've read through a couple of the associated threads on the subject, looked at the mechanism on the car... and still scratching my head over an adjustment.)

Hello,
Congratulations on your new Impulse-bought, RED Jaguar XJS! If I ever own an XJS this is the body style I would have, but in BLACK.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forums BalmyOne,

I've been looking at Jaguars for way too long - it was the first thing I noticed before I even read your post. Apart from that very minor issue, it looks to be a fine example.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xjs-x27-32/ to the XJS forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...r-atlantic-66/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
