Smile Hi all - new member calling!

Hi folks
I am new to the forum but not new to Jaguars. I currently have a 2005 S-type 2.7d Sport. I have had a series 3 E-type (V12), a couple of XJ40s, 3 different S-types and an X-type over a period of 25 years or so.

Although the E-type was spectacular (mainly in a straight line!) I think my current S-type is the best of the bunch - not the fastest, of course, but as an all-rounder, hard to beat... quick enough for an oldie like me, comfortable, excellent handling and economical too!

Apparently the original owner was a Jaguar executive who loaded it with extras. Voice, SatNav, Bluetooth, Adaptive cruise, TV (although as analogue TV broadcasts have been turned off in the UK, not much use now), premium sound system with CD changer - even an electric rear sun-blind which is handy when some clown comes up close behind with out-of-adjustment headlights!

The adaptive cruise is a real winner - every car should have it. It changes cruise control from something dangerous to use except on the open road into something that helps keep you speed right for the speed limit without causing you run into the back of other vehicles!

Anyway, enough chat for now.

All the best
Richard

Welcome to the forum Richard,

Very interesting Intro and a good selection of previous Jaguars.

Follow this link S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the S-Type section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You may also like to visit the UK Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-68/ to find other members in this country.

Enjoy the forum.
