Hi, another new member

Hi all,

I just got my new Jaguar XJ SC this week and love it so far. I'm not new to Jag as I had a 2009 XF SC for three years - loved it too.

I have the Caviar color and it looks just great. I feel fortunate to find a 2011 that I liked as I was really hoping to get the 2011 warranty.

No roof pops! Yet....

Hi 8-Man and welcome to the forum. I'm fairly new (I guess). One question about the new cat> did you want the leaper on it? Or are you ok without one. I've noticed that people ID the car with it at the stop light, and then you get stared at. Sorry to sound uppity about this marque but there's just something about these cars that's cooler than any other make, and I can't explain it.

I am fine with no leaper. I don't think I have seen a new model with one on there, but I noticed it was an option if I wanted it.

I've seen people at stop lights trying to figure out what it is. I can see them talking but can't hear them. It's funny watching them figure it out and then come to the conclusion that it's a Jaguar.

That car is freakin awesome! Nice choice!!!

So far, I have been utterly impressed with this car. I had an XF before but this XJ really takes it to a new level.

My XF had a nice tone to it at idle, but this XJ is quiet as a cat until you stomp it. Wow, it really roars when you get into it and is blisteringly fast.

Also, I crank the sound system up to mind splitting levels and rock the left lane. I use this car for what it was built for and love every second of it. I couldn't care less what the gas mileage is.

This is one legendary machine.

Hi 8-Man, that is one lovely looking car! :)

I had a test drive in one and it had all of the gizmos on it as well, I did not want to get out of it.

You must be very pleased with your new XJ.
