Welcome to the forum Arlene,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Sorry to hear your Jaguar was hit. I hope the relay gets it running again.

Jaguar used the XJ6 badging on four different model ranges between 1968 and 2009. If you add the Model Year, I can give you a link to the relevant Model forum.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Northeast Region forum by following this link
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-northeast-35/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Welcome.

OOPS.

Also have a look at the Safety Inertia Switch, and as Graham has mentioned, different year models have these things in different places.

They cut the fuel circuit, so the engine will crank over, but not fire.

Good luck.

Hello, Arlene,
I'm sorry your Jaguar suffered a collision. The fact you're a woman has Nothing to do with whether you can fix your car. I've been fixing my own cars since before I was old enough to drive.

If you tell us the year of your car, Graham can direct you to the correct section where members will gladly help you get your kitty on the road again.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
