I want to love jags

My father is the jag guy, he gave me his 1995 XJ6.

I help him with his jags and after my daughter needed a car to drive to work he gave me the car so she has a car to drive for work.

the 1995 had an issue where it would not start, I replaced the fuel pump and it started right up. Then it would not run properly, very poor power and I replaced coils, some injectors to solve a poor running condition Heat laser gun for the back two cylinders.

turned out the coil wires were swapped and the timing on those cylinders was electrically was way off.

car runs just fine, I swapped the drivers seat leather and cushions with a really good passengers seat from an 97. Everything went really well except the electrical switch opening in the leather. I buggered the leather and the seat switch holder.

Car runs and starts just fine and I really like the car. too small for me but fits the woman in my family just fine.

I have replaced the air compressor in my dads 2005 xj8l and am working on the diagnosis for an intermittent check engine light poor running condition.

Presumably that's your father's X350 in the photo?

Follow this link XJ XJ6 / XJR6 ( X300 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X300 forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Yes the X300 is mine and the 350 is my fathers. I am trying to resolve intermittent codes on his car while he is away.

He is very generous and helped me work on my motorcycles starting at age 13. Now I look for every opportunity to put what he taught me into practice.

He said the other day he doesn't see himself working on any more vehicles. he did just replace a fuel filter on a Ford Windstar van?

He loaned me the car while on vacation and I am hoping to have it back code free to him by the end of next week.

I also am looking at getting a car and there is an 2005 XJR I am looking at as well as a superV8 in Los Angeles. The repair is a test, if I can't solve the issue then I can't say I want to buy vehicles I can't solve when issues come up.

I think these are solid cars but this is a good chance to have a dry run at x350 ownership.

I like the performance of the XJ8 so I am sure the XJR is probably pretty inspirational.
