Intro
Hi to all!
I've been an owner of a 2003 X-Type 2.5 for about two weeks now - my first Jaguar, and a welcome connection back home, as I'm also originally from England.
My new car will need some TLC over the next few months, as probably any 10 year old car would, so I'm glad to have found this source of genuine advice and hand-holding through what otherwise might be a daunting process!
Car's in the body shop right now, having a couple of passenger side dents ironed out. Already replaced one of the wheels on the same side, as the rim of the wheel, where it meets the tyre beading, was cracked and peeling away - didn't look too safe. Thankfully I found a source for a refurbished wheel, so I didn't have to shell out the $450 for a new one!
Hopefully I'll be able to keep updating as finances allow, and look forward to reading and posting other questions.
Take care,
David.

Hi David:
Welcome to the forum and greetings from the Midwest Region! Congrats on the car. This sight will definitely turn a potentially daunting prospect, Jaguar maintenance, into, if not an easy one, a communal one. There's usually safety in numbers.
And, we have a lot of fun.
Cheers and enjoy the drive!

Thanks to all for the warm welcome! Car is still in the body shop, and I'm suffering from separation anxiety. I'm sure I'll have a bunch of questions once I settle back in again!
Cheers,
David.
