Long story long

The shortest version is I used to be a car guy, then I decided to funnel all my time/money into Road Racing motorcycles, which I did for about 15 years. Now, kids are getting younger and faster and I've finally come to accept that I am an ex-racer.

Suddenly, I have more time and money. I still have a street bike, but the feeling just isn't the same. You can't ride it on the street the same way you do on the track, exploring the limits. That feeling just isn't there and in fact, it's a bit of a letdown.

I've been around Jags since I was a little kid. My father bought his first XK120 in 1956 when he was a fresh, young pilot, straight out of West Point and in flight school. From his stories, there weren't many Jags around the US back then and 4 on the floor was a really odd thing. Fast forward a couple of decades and he's working on restoring anouther XK120, his third, which was to be my brother and my Prom car. Logistics didn't work on that one, but over the course of time, my parents had 3 XK120s, a series 1 XJ6, a series 3 XJ6, a V12 XJS and an XK8 convertible.

I've looked at Jags casually, but the XK never really suited me. It was too soft and too cushy. Then I saw an F-Type in person.I was at a stoplight on my way home from work, and there it was, right in front of me. It was a black R couoe and it was gorgeous. There is nothing I would change about it.

After nearly a year of trying to talk myself into something more reasonable, I finally gave in and picked up a black R coupe. It has the right looks, makes the right sounds and puts a smile on my face every time I think about it.

Naa, Reasonable is for Pansy @$$ Tender Snowflakes. As an "ex-biker" in would imagine that does Not describe you.
Get your F-type and drive the wheels off!
And Love every single second of your new ride.
