My introduction

Just found this forum and as a jaguar owner thought I would register. Had my 'S' Type for 10 great years and now have a 50,000 mile 2003 XK8 coupe automatic.Love it.

Have always like and wanted a jaguar from being young, now 57, and will continue owning one until I can't get in and out.

Also a little story that may be of interest, I had some properties in Blackpool, were my portfolio was, and a warehouse came up for sale, unfortunately the area it was in did not allow it to give return. This is all boring but now the interesting part, it was where Lyons built his 'Silver Swallow' side cars i.e. where he started before the war. He, because 'SS' was his emblem, had to change his company name - 'Jaguar' was his choice. Sadly no cars were built at Blackpool just sidecars.

I din't buy the building, but somebody else did and equally new of its history as they pulled it down built some flats and placed a plaque on the wall, recognising the start of 'Jaguar'
