Default Never thought I'd say that I own a jaguar

Hello everyone! I'm Stephani from AZ and I drove home in my new (old) 1990 XJ6 Sovereign yesterday. After test driving several cars with my father-in-law yesterday we saw an ad for this car online that had only been posted hours before; we just had to go check it out. I fell in love within seconds of seeing it.

It only has 46k miles and cosmetically is almost perfect (wheels need to be repainted; wood veneer is cracked in few places etc. but these thing are common with a vehicle of that age). However, during the test drive I was too enamored with the car to really pay attention to a few things that I really should have been so there are a few electrical/mechanical issues that I’ll have to address. But she runs like a dream, better than any car I drove yesterday.

My goal is to make my new baby as perfect as she was the day the rolled off the assembly line. I’m fortunate enough to work for a car dealership so I have mechanics on hand (though none of them specialize in Jag). But I will be asking you all for help, and hopefully by the time I’m done with this project I’ll know enough to help out someone else.

Welcome Stephani. Gorgeours car. Good headwork in posting a pic with intro!
I'm sure you'll find lots of help here on the forum. Welcome some more new members and get that post-count up to 10. It's the first step in person-hood!

Thank you. I'd very much like full person-hood in the forum so I'll start working on that post count. So far from what I've seen in the forums everyone seems super helpful so I'm looking forward to utilizing the Jag expertise and enthusiasm available to me. Currently, I'm making my list of things I want to address and prioritizing them. Questions coming soon. lol. This car will be my daily driver and given her age I'm aware I'll have to invest some time and cash to keep her both running and looking beautiful.

Welcome to the forum Stephani,

Good to have you with us.
Looks nice in the picture, ask the guys in the tech section about the problems I'm sure they will have some ideas.
What part of Phoenix are you in?

You should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you

I'm in north Phoenix. I saw the regional forums but haven't gone in and looked around yet. I'm sure there are plenty of jag owners around the valley though, Phoenix is a hot spot for luxury cars.

I am like you, two weeks ago I thought I would own any foreign car ( GM man myself for many years ) although I owned a Delorean about 10 years ago.

I saw the Jaguars on Craigs List while looking for another car and saw this '90 Sovereign that had been very well cared for. Picked it up about two days ago, just love it...
