Default New Aussie XJ40 '94

Hi Guys.

I've been lurking the Jag forums all over for a few years now learning everything I can about our complex cats...

Currently working through my first trial by fire.

I've got an Aubergine 94 XJ40, 3.2 litre... 200,000 odd kilometers on it.

Somewhere along the way it's had part of it's interior swapped out for what appears to be VDP spec bits, power seats and picnic tables...

My background is computers and programming so hopefully will be able to make some contributions here and there on that front.

Based on the East Cost of Australia. Sydney time.

Cheers!
Ben R.

Hi Ben welcome to the forum.

Check out the XJ40 forum for help with your model, and post in the NSW forum in the roll call thread.

Not sure where in NSW you are, but if you are at a loose end on Sunday (19th) and are in the Ballina region come along and join other members for a get together and lunch.

Welcome Ben,

The LAST of the '40's, very nice, and that lovely 3.2L engine as well, winner all round.

Last is a blessing and a curse, the bits are still in good order, the bugs were all shaken out BUT damn can it be hard to find that one part you need amongst an ocean of parts to fit every other '40. (Eg: I have the 6 pin TPS sensor... took a week just to find a wiring diagram for that...)

And yes, that engine..... smooth enough to give you a silly grin every time you get a chance to let it sing. From idle to red.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.
Will do up a thorough post in the coming days detailing my troubles and my efforts..

When she's back on the road that 3.2 will sing a sweeter note than I've ever known of her.
