New Irish Member - 2004 Silver XKR
Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Gill and this is my 2nd Jag.
Looking to participate here as much as possible and help out where I can while getting help from the more experienced members!
I am driving a 2004 XKR and love it more than life itself! Previously I had a '97 XK8 in Antigua blue. While I loved that XK8 it suffered every problem that this car ever had - rust, bad hoses, overheating, dodgy electrics, leaks around the windows, foggy headlights, etc. So if anyone is suffering those issues today I will lend my sympathy and +1 any of the useful solutions that people post here as I think every problem that has ever occurred has an answer on this forum!
My big areas of interest are enhancing my XKR to be the best car possible (not bodykits and major performance mods but subtle, quality enhancements like bushings, LSD, that kind of thing)
Done so far:
Service
K&N Air Filter
Missing interior trim replaced
Clear reflectors on the front, red on the back
All interior & exterior bulbs
List of jobs to do:
PDR on trolley ding on passenger side
Number plate plinth
Loose exterior door handle
Full paint restoration & protection (I enjoy detailing)
Exhaust
Audio Upgrade
Leather Restoration
LSD
Bushings

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
