New Jag Owner and Loving It?

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to take the time out to introduce myself before I start asking a ton of questions.

I am a new Jag owner and I am loving it so far. I purchases a used Jag X-type 2003. I'm a bit nervous after reading some horror stories about how much it cost to repair if something breaks down but needless to say I'm still smiling.

Looking forward to getting to know some of you!

Congratulations on your First Jaguar! There's Nothing like the first one no matter how many you eventually have.

As for repairs, the X-type was built under Ford's ownership of the company and should be relatively reliable. Of course it is 14 years old, so one might expect a few problems related to age. However, members in our X-type section will be only too happy to help you learn to fix things yourself, thereby saving your cash for gas to drive.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum jlexinv,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Hi fellow new member. I ran an X Type for years and loved it. As the guys and gals on that forum will tell you, they're not that expensive to run and maintain as it's mainly Ford parts. Great cars, enjoy it
