Greetings to everyone,

I am a new member on the forum. Although you have to be blind not to like Jaguar I was never personally a real enthusiast. But recently my brother in law died and he left behind a Jaguar xjr-s 5.3l from 1989, one of the hundred made in tungsten grey for the Le Mans celebration.

So now I am doing some research on the car, and thats how I came by these forums.

Welcome to the forum Luka_ZG,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums. I'm sorry for your loss.

The Le Mans Celebration Edition was reputedly limited to 100 with each car individually numbered on the tread plates. Very collectible!

thx a lot everyone for the warm welcome, especially to GGG for the useful info. Btw I still haven't seen the car in person, only on a photograph and I know the model since I have the papers.

The car is in some sort of a specialised garage for the last 15 years near Paris, and since I am from Croatia I have to go get it and drive it back home, and I must say I am looking forward to that trip.

Apparently it is in pristine condition, it was driven occasionally and serviced regulary by a mechanic that keeps and maintaines old luxury cars for a living. My sister actually went to get it and bring it to Zagreb 2 years ago, but they couldn't fit the babies seat for my little niece on the back seat so they returned it to the garage. Anyway I bothered you all enough with my personal stuff. We intend to keep it and not sell it, and when I bring it here I will post some pictures.
