New member 1995 XJR
Hello friends. Just joined the board after buying a 1995 XJR last week. She's got 104K miles and needs just a bit of TLC...but not too much. I just replaced the tires and will be doing the upper shock bushings. I checked out the "how-to" section here and it sees pretty straightforward.
I have wanted an XJR6 since I first saw one back in the 90s. I love the carry-over XJ40 aspects and the chunky alloy wheels.
Prior to the XJR I have owned a 1986 XJS and a 1992 XJ6.

Welcome to the forum 95XJRBlack,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
The XJR carries over a lot of the XJ40 design cues but leaves many of the weaknesses behind. A well maintained example is a pleasure to own and drive.
I know you've already found your way to te X300 tech section so there's no need for a link to it from me. When you're on with the the front suspension, it's worth checking the upper wishbone bushes as these are a regular issue.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Welcome Mr. Black. Shall we call you Agent Black, or Agent J (Men in Black)? Would yours be a black on black XJR?? If such exists. I understand there is a lot of Jag activity in Texas and many forum members in the Dallas area. Don't forget about the Off-Topic section too, it can be very entertaining!

Thanks for the words of welcome. Dallas-Ft Worth does have a great Jaguar scene (and British cars in general). The annual White Rock Lake European car show in early May always has a great turnout and I go every year. I have some great pix from years past and I will be on hand this year too.
I have been into British cars since 1985 when my Dad and I restored my first MGB. Since then I have had two Spitfires, two MGBs, an XJS, and a XJ40. My daily driver is a 2007 Volvo S80 which is the world's most boring car, but it is reliable and safe.
My friends owns Sports Car Warehouse in Arlington, TX and I help him with his website and at local car shows. So he helps me with repairs and parts for my British cars.
