New member.

Hello from Vancouver, British Columbia.
All members can address me as Mark.
The project Jag I have, is a 1965 3.8s.
it has been with me for 15 years.
The car has only been out of the garage a half dozen times.
it runs well now, but spent last winter outside under a car cover. Not so happy with me.
i freed up the pistons in the dash pots, and it fired up and idled at 700 rpm.
But I have 2 problems so far.:
1) no brakes
2) I have to start from under the hood.
it has brand new spline hubs and new wire wheels. The brake peddle goes to the floor, and I have to pull it up with my foot.
Question I have for the group: what sequence too use to trouble shoot the brake problem?
This issue must be fixed before I can go and have an out of province inspection. All response welcome.

Not sure, but what is post a poll ?

Welcome to the forums Mark,

Please don't post a "poll". I've never needed to do that and have rarely seen the option used correctly on the forum. Think of it as a voting paper - a list to select a preference. Most members who have posted a poll used it to ask technical questions which is totally inappropriate.

Members in MKI / MKII S type 240 340 & Daimler forum with the same model will be able to advise on your brake question. Perhaps add some further detail on what has been done to the brakes and whether there are any signs of fluid leak, any pedal resistance etc. Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/m...40-daimler-61/ to the MKI / MKII S type 240 340 & Daimler forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the Canada Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/canada-73/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.
