Hi All

Just joined the forum. I live in Essex, England and work in IT.

I’ve liked Jags since childhood and I’ve owned 2 Jags. The first was an XJ Series 3 which I bought about 25 years ago . I lived in London at the time and with all the traffic it was pretty thirsty. So I mainly used it on weekends and holidays so it could have a run. Still it only managed about 18 mpg but I loved it for 3 years till the rust bug set in.

I now have an S-Type Diesel, 2005 pre PDF model, which I love for its looks and refinement. It’s used as my main car and I drive over 24K miles a year so I opted for the diesel variant for its economy ( I can get up to 40mpg). I’ve had it about 14 months and had 30K miles trouble free motoring. Until recently that is. Which is why I started looking at forums. Although I have now sorted the problems.

Just uploading a pic of my car. Afraid its bog standard, just as it left the factory so not too interesting. My 1st attempt so not sure if this is going to work...
