New member '99 S-type 3.0
Hello Jaguar enthusiasts!
I'm tnow he proud keeper of a black 3.0 S-type after parting with my '95 4.0 Sovereign a few months back.
The S-type brings a lot of smiles per mile, but it is a bit quirky with a few faults (I knew about before I bought it). Some things I've managed to fix, and others I am going to need the advice and guidance of members on the forum to solve.
I don't have a pot of gold to spend on the car, so I need advice on the most cost-effective ways of getting the bugs worked out. I'll be glad to post my experiences, too in case it will help other enthusiasts.
Goal is to get the car sweet to run the Nurburgring again this year. I had an 11:46 lap last year with the Sovereign first time out. I'm sure the more nimble S-Type can improve on that time!
My daughter is in a dressage event today, so I'll get round to posting during the week probably. looking forward to finding some good tips and guidance, here.
Regards, Steve

Hi Norri, thanks, and looking forward to using the forum. I do have a couple of pictures of the Sovereign on the Nurburgring. I'll try and post them in the 'photos' section. Will let you know if the upload is successful. Gr. Steve
So, I need to build up more membership kudos before I can post in the photos section, so I hope this upload works! it is June 7th, 2011. The car is a '95 Sovereign 4.0, completely stock except for a tank of Shell V-Power! There are two intrepid passengers, the guy in the rear seat doing his best to film the action... It was the first time, very busy, and we had to keep out of the way of faster cars, but the best lap was 11:46.46. Not all bad for a 16 year old executive express!
