New Member from Baltimore
Hello jag enthusiasts! I have just purchased a 2004 xj8 with 70K and will be in need of plenty of advice and knowledge. I owned a 98 XJ and put about 70K on the car, during which time the timing chain/'motor failed and tranny failed...I loved that car!! So the new/old 2004XJ8 is throwing the air suspension error, so my first activity will be rebuild the air compressor. I own several cars and do the work on all of them when possible: 2002 2500 suburban, 1996 passat tdi, 1993 saab 900 convertible, and 1973 240z! So I like variation and working on projects and flying down the road in a car with renewed vigor.
My other task on the new XJ is fixing the sun roof which is not working so will be checking the forum for information. The lights on the overhead act squirrely so I am going to check for contacts or replace an e-component if appropriate.
Forums are great especially when enthusiasts respond from all over the globe and include expert mechanics and jag lovers!! Love my first jag and am really excited about the 2004!!
