Hey all I am from the Metro West Area of Massachusetts. I just purchased 2004 Jaguar X-type 3.0L with 64K miles. I unfortunately do not have repair record but from what i can tell the car has been very well maintained. I have owned a few older cars before but I have never actually worked on a car my self and plan on doing most of the repairs that are within reason on this car. I do have access to my friends lift which should make life easier.

So far I have replaced the driver side headlight socket(the socket melted to the bulb that was in there)
My mechanic told me the driver side CV joint boot is leaking grease so I need to get the replaced in the future(when the sound starts getting annoying).
One of the previous owners installed an aftermarket sterio system its am Alpine Ilx-007. I am thinking about removing it since i do not own an apple phone so I cannot connect my phone to the cord to use the stereo. My brother had mentioned that I can get a blue tooth adapter that plugs in to the rear of this model allowing me to use it but i not 100% sure this is true.

I am looking forward to owning this car and will appreciate any and all help I can get from the community.

Thanks!
-M
