New member, NW Florida
Wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I am Ozzy from the Florida panhandle. First time Jaguar owner of an 02 X-Type. Don't know much about these cars and hope to learn as much as I can from you guys (gals) that have been around. My other vehicle is a 1988 Trans Am GTA which I have owned for 5 years. It is modified somewhat and I did all the work myself. So I do have quite a bit of electronics and mechanical experience from working on my GTA, so hopefully it should not be too much trouble getting up to speed on this Jaguar.

Welcome Ozzy, I too am from FL, but from the deep south. Always glad to see members join the forum that have the same cars as I do, specially one as special as the GTA. We own 2 GTA's, one an 87 and one an 88. We bought the 88 a few years back to fix up the 87, but after an unfortunate circumstance last month, we lost both sets of keys. Someone broke into my dad's house and took his small safety box[:@] and we're waiting to get some money together to have a locksmith come out and make us two sets of keys. The 88 though has a safety feature where the key has to be programmed with dealer, so that'll be sitting even longer. It's OK though, because we never drove those cars anyways. Either way, good luck and welcome to the forum. You'll see we have a lot of knowledgable people here that will be more than happy to help with the X.
Thanks for the welcome. Yeah the GTA is my baby but it has now taken a backseat because of gas prices and because it is so darn rough to ride. My X is more of an experiment to see if I would like driving an european car. So far so good but I hope it was not a bad decision.
