Default New member with old XJ and newly acquired XK

Hi

I have owned my XJ8 for 18 years and love it, despite the unwelcome (and quite nasty!) appearance of rust. In fact, I can get my hand inside the sill from inside the wheel arch now. Very upsetting, but I will have it fixed as it is a lovely car.

I just acquired a 2009 XK 5.0 convertible and I am really looking forward to the weather to appreciate it. I'll keep the XJ though. Having waited for a long, long time to get an XK (I wanted one since the XK8 was first on the market) I hope it is everything I want it to be. One way or the other it'll be out of my system.

Looking forward to participating on the forum from now onwards.

Cheers

Paul

Welcome to the forum Paul.
Rust like that can be a challenge, but it is fixable.

Hello, Paul,
Congratulations on your new XK!

I used to Love topless weather when I had a roadster. Hard top stayed in the shed from mid May until mid September.
Poor thing, I drove the wheels off.

Welcome to the forums from, ElinorB.
