Default new member restrictions are abominable

Yep, look up the long words not understood in the dictionary first, before responding.

At this point you valued associate junior bloggers (we must hang together here, literally) are wondering if I'm serious - or that maybe not all the oars of mine are in the water together, and synchronicity only exists as some kind of ubiquitous rings somewhere inside transmissions. (more words to check...)

I get it! No looking at cool pics of other Jags and occupant members until we validate ourselves by writing up a lot of silly aficionados posts.... Hmmm.... Then, you weed the truly undesirables OUT. Come on, stop laughing briefly so we can get down to the heart of the matter, "Nikosil" engines notwithstanding. Who actually came up with THAT word? May I weed-out, too, should I ever become a senior member?

I like this forum! Filoli certa merces.

We must be a very elitist group of Jaguar lovers here, to be so -English-discriminatingly-biased- may I say? I'll have tea & crimpets with that, please. Or else. Does this mean if I ever get to become a "senior" blog member, I'll actually be offered the lock combination to those lockbox keys we all store under the front bumper because its the only steel in the entire car that will hold a magnet box? We should have "fan" postings, like on the Arianna Huffington Post blogs. Another big long English name, however she is from distant middle eastern shores. Truly the Times of the magnificent Empire, yes?

With cars like this, and Ford in such trouble, I guess we should all appreciate the significant Jaguar technological contributions as temporary and perhaps even fleeting. Enjoy as much as we can now.... and we should be able to ban certain insensitive BLOGS. I mean really, some jokester hyped about an Audi Allroad blowing the doors off every XJR because "of a special chip installed"? Dad's chip nonetheless, really now.

Please. Just let me show him my special performance chip, and the three great laws of Thermodynamics. More power + Less weight = better performance. Allroad, a car most likely to break down more often than anything else, heavy, overly complicated and great ongoing return for Audi- on maintenance costs. Yup, I had a 2006 RS4 that I could only drive when on meth. No really, that 420 HP Quattro made the car SEEM really really fast. Sorry about diverging, but apparently rambling posts get better attention...

Btw, why DON'T Jags have those rear seat built in refrigerators like Maybach? And, are Borla exhausts really that much more of a performance enhancing add-on for XJR, or just someone trying to increase their pencil-in-the-pocket shortcomings? seems an expensive consideration. (Since I mentioned Meth, the jumping icons are making me really nervous.) Do Senior members have to watch these too?

I'm actually just asking to see if you all really read ALL of the sometimes very silly posts I post... right down to the bottom.

Welcome, what an intro that was an epic one

Maybach is in a different league and almost everything you can imagine is over engineered . Actually, it's a relabelled Mercedes S Class with a fancy name unlike Jaguar or Rolls Royce . (Bear in mind Maybach directly is rival to Rolls Royce Phantom) .

Look at Maybach at the side profile , it all looks like a stretched Mercs S Class )

Not really, I skipped around alot, looking for some big words to run through my thesaurus.

TBH, I still have no idea what you're trying to get across, but nonetheless, I'll have some of what you're having.

Default oh yes! LOL!

It's addictive: A dash of Jag in the morning, add a splash of high octane and a windy, hillside road....and a gorgeous babe asking for a quaint B & B.

Welome QDP....not really an intro, more of a rant about junior members restrictions.
The "new member" section is there to, well, welcome new members surprisingly enough.......your rant on post restrictions really should have been posted into the help and suggestion centre, but, hey ho.
They are there for a reason if you care to check related posts on the subject as we desperately try to fight of the spammers that seem to want to invade our space.
Your restrictions will be lifted in due course I'm sure and you can enjoy the whole forum, which I do hope you enjoy.

Default not ranting, VOTE!

Thank you. I really enjoy this forum and understand clearly the WHYs. I simply like to comment with off-beat humor- and hope its not offensive. If we don't enjoy what we're doing everyday, why do it?

I've got to be crazy looking for a used Jag that is as finicky as over eight-thousand threads and replies indicate these cars to be. I just am addicted to sensuous curves, strong, gutteral growls (are Borlas really worth the expense in performance?) and untamed behavior- in many creatures (see above) So, fault me (and you btw) of our innermost transgressions, and thanks for the tips on taming. Now the big Q:

Which one?
2001 XJR with less than 80kM for $14,9k gorgeous, full records one Owner
2004 XJR with @ 115kM for $18.5k, gorgeous, spotty records three owners

Being a deft, cunning linguist, I think I can get the 01 for $3k less. The other one is firm. Your choice?

Sounds like a tough choice that you'll have to make there QDP.
As I said, ask the guys in the relevant section and they'll be more than happy to chip in I'm sure.

nice play on words there too

Mmmm Crumpets..... just having a quiet moment.

The 2001 seems to be the car that I would go for, although unless you are able to obtain the reduction as quoted, it seems to be a little over priced.

If you really enjoy meaningless textual humour read this and explain!
