Default New XJ40 owner - purchased for European rally

Hi,

With a couple of friends have purchased a XJ40 4.0 sovereign 1990 to be our trusty stead to take us around Europe for 7 days and 2500 miles as part of a "banger" rally... we could have chosen a euro box or something jap, but in a moment of madness bought this characterful Jag.

There's a few bits and bobs to sort out, mainly a brake pressure light and a battery discharging itself, so I'll get asking in the relevant sections...

Happy to be a Jag owner!
Mark

Hi again, you probably have a duff sphere. Listen very carefully I shall... nah, but do listen carefully, when you press the brake pedal do you hear the pump coming on every time, if so indicates duff sphere.

Nuff for the tech stuff or I shall have to give myself a warning.

Post away in the XJ40 section, the guys will help.

Hi Nathan.

I've started a thread here about the brake pressure light: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...51/#post386432

I guess you meant you've fixed your battery issue? I haven't looked into that yet, but if you have any pointers would be great
