New XK8 owner - longtime lurker!
Firstly, many thanks to everyone on the forums - without reading the countless posts I would never have felt to confident in examining and test driving XK8s.
I had decided that while a Lexus LS400 had a wonderful V8 a 25 year old really needs a car he can be passionate about! Bought from a reputable dealer, 99k dark blue XK8 with every option ticked, and budgeted for the tensioners and gearbox flush needed. Hopefully everything will be fine! One question - how do I get access to files on the forum? Would like to download the tensioner replacement PDF guide... Thanks again, Spinakerr |

Thanks everybody for the welcome - headlight moisture drill hole location (or, er, HLMDHL) & tensioner image download in progress!
Translator - I aim to do as much as I can; a history of RWD maintenance precedes the XK8 (Ford Capri, Mercedes 190, Lexus LS400) but the tensioners look beyond my toolset. Have checked in with Racing Green in Hampshire, will post in the correct forum for opinions... |
