Default Now a 2 Jag family XJL / VDP - New Member

Hi all,

I am a new member. We live in Cumming, GA and I recently traded into two different Jags.

I first got my wife a 2007 XJL, and thought I would be 'allowed' to drive it... I bought it because I fell in love with the car. great deal. 32K mi, $32K purchase. Ok. Like someone parked it in a garage for 3 yrs. Black w/tan and piping. As you might guess, I am not 'allowed' to drive it.

Since I needed to trade out of my other car, I looked around and purchased a 2006 VDP Black on Black. Also a good deal. 58K mi. $29K. Very nice ride.

Obviously, I fell in love with Jags. I have always loved them since childhood. I could have traded for almost any NEW car and worked a good deal, but I chose to go with pre-owned Jags that were as clean as a whistle for the same or less money than a new US or Japanese, or used German.

I love the 'pull' and handling of these aluminum bodies with a regular Jag engine. Elegance with power, and beautiful styling. I will likely trade for the 2011 models in about 3 or 4 years. But for now I most satisfied.

I am also a jazz guitarist (50 yrs of playing - mostly professional level), and I am a Sr. Manager with Capgemini, a Global IT Consulting firm. I am married with one child. I travel a good bit, mostly internationally or work from home.

I hope to learn a lot here and make some new friends!

Bill

Hi Bill, nice rides you have there. Welcome! I'll be down your way for business next month but I'm flying. Oh well, maybe a roadtrip next time to exercise the cat.

DaveNC,

I am working up in Toronto now, and won't be in ATL much except for weekends. I will only be able to see and drive my car on the weekends for a couple of days.

I would love to bring it up here, but parking is outrageous in downtown Toronto.

I will be home this weekend and will take some pictures for posting.

I also started a group on here for North Georgia / ATL Jag owners.

Bill
