Seeing what it's all about
I live in Texas outside of Houston. I bought my first Jag in 2001 for Momentum and have been hooked ever since. I now have 3 XJR's and still looking. I still have the first one I bought, it now has 230K on it still looks and drives like new. I do all my own maintenance, a aircraft/auto mechanic by trade. I just put new chains and tensioners on my first XJR at 210k only because rt mian tensioner would not pump up from time to time. I have always used 20/50 synthetic oil and WIX filters. I laugh when I read the story's about all the transmission failures out there and how they changed their fluid because the book said so. Note, "DO NOT" screw with the transmission fluid. They didn't put in a dip stick for a reason. Love the cars, but 2003 was the last year for the good car. I had a 05' but couldn't get warmed up to the plastic Lincoln look.
