600Bhp xjs convertible

Hi,

I have got some great advice on here before and my build has roughly taken 4.5 years with development and setback in between. the car is a joy to drive and somewhat of a handful. We want to get creative with the rear supsension etc. (the back-end is still quite 'boat-like' it waves and bobs that can be a handful). Any ideas on what the ideal set-up would be? keen on loads of suggestions for this. what did the DB7 use? what was the Listers set up? We have cross bracked the chassis and re-enforced the engine bay. Nolathane vs rubber?

As a bit of info this is the engine we used

Mast Motorsports High Performance Powertrain Solutions

There is also a GM automatic transmission with tiptronic, rated to to 750hp

its a lot of fun...

Keen to get the conversation going

Hi I raced a 1983 XJS for a few years but only half your H/P i put a 3.6 aj6 in and got that up to 308BHP i only raced the winter series classics. With the rear suspension i used XJS sports spings from a xjs 3.6 sport' they were slightly shorter and a thicker spring. I used them with Bilstein BE3-2446 rear shocks and Koni's up front. I also made my rear mounts sub frame to body solid but probably not ideal for road use although i did a couple of Targa rallies with it like that' you don;t notice the rough ride when having fun.
Cheers Ray

Low and firm are the only mods to make that thing not wale about ! You've got plenty of waight so grip should be no problem with some good sticky yokahamas or perellis ! If it's a targa car stick with rubber bushes , the new nolathane compound is crap! No point ruining all of your ride comfort! The shockes & springs should almost ruin that perfectly enuff !
