A hoby I have pursued for several years now after retiring from Boeing. I develop slide shows of various aviation projects that I have been involved in. Such as "Building a Long EZ home built airplane", "Testing the B-58/XB-70 escape capsule", "Testing the SR-71", and recently " The history of supersonic flight". I then present these slide shows to various organizations along with supporting stories. Aviation history in general is my main interest at this point of my life. A lot can be learned from history.

Unfortunately, most don't bother, as it takes actual Thought.
They would rather reinvent the wheel, or bump their nose all over again than take the time to look how it worked out for the last one who tried this or that.

This sounds familiar. Did you give that last presentation to an EAA group at Wood County Airport last spring during a torrential downpour?

Nothing so exciting, but we look after a number of parrots of different breeds. One has his own facebook page (maintained by my daughter) which is mildly popular https://www.facebook.com/ParkerTheEclectus/

My brother heard about your presentation and suggested we bring our father because he was crew chief on a B-58 here in Fort Worth at Carswell AFB. Another "small world" coincidence to run into you on a Jaguar forum. Thanks again. Really enjoyed your presentation and I learned a lot.

If you guys are in the area please contact me and we can have lunch together. I am always interested in making contact with aviation folks. Send me a private message and I will give you my email address and phone number.
