Expensive, but what an experience, eh?

My Dad was a pilot in WWII.....flew B17s and B29s. Which I could afford this 'camp' so as to get a feel for what he experienced.

Cheers

Cool!
When I was a kid I wanted to be a rear gunner in a Lancaster; absolutely no idea why.

What a great program and adventure. Its great to see those "ol' gals" still flying as its an important piece of history that should never be allowed to be forgotten or minimized!

That does sound like fun.

Last year I flew in a Lancaster for about 2hrs. Normally a flight is 1 hr, but a B24 was aloft taking publicity shots of the Lanc., so we got an extended trip.
Great experience. Crudely built, cramped, shatteringly noisy without ear protection, and about half of the planes never returned to base. Certainly brings home what our parents generation went through.
