Default Brushing your teeth

Well, just saw an article that told me iíve been tying my shoe laces wrong my entire life.

So maybe iíve been brushing my teeth wrong my entire life. As a coffe drinker (Nespresso Arpeggio), smoker (Dunhill Silver cigs with occasional Monte Cristo Churchill cigar) and red wine lover (Pinot), my teeth tend to stain.

Seen adverts recently that use a UV emitting gum shield to bleach your teeth to give a white smile. Not sure I think thatís practical.

I use Arm&Hammer Smokers tooth paste which has a grittier ingredient and then rinse with mouth wash. Iíve been wondering if there something better I do ??? What do others do?

Rotary wire brush on a high speed drill works for a while.
As for shoelaces, Velcro straps make the problem go away completely.
There is no excuse for wearing sandals though.

If you have all those likes it would probably good to be brushing multiple times per day , if only for longer term dental health, and whiteness may be a side benefit. Dentists usually do a polish up if you go for a regular clean.

I must protest Steve M. Much like leopard skin for ladies, Sandles are always fashionable for men as long as you wear socks.

In addition w/ regular brushing, Plus White 5 Minute Gel is the best working over the counter whitener I've used, inexpensive & effective.

IF, and only IF, the socks are held up securely by garters!

So this Forum's solution is to wear a Kaftan, with sandels & socks held up by garters...... to go with a white toothy smile perhaps.

Spoken to a Dentist, who said he whitens beautiful people's teeth when they're on modelling fashion gigs, on TV etc.

As part of their daily routine, he recommends they use Bicarbonate of Soda, and using powered electrical tooth brushes ie the Black 1000 Oral-B - not too far off Steve M's suggestion of a rotary wire brush on high speed drill.

The Dentist also recommended that you could also use the chemical bleach hydrogen peroxide (which blondes use on their hair) to mix with the bicarbonate of soda, to artificially whiten teeth. Just don't use it too often.

And don't swallow!

Or, you Could stop smoking since your stained teeth obviously bother you.

Yea, stop smoking, only to find out that your teeth have their own natural color, that is not necessarily snow-white. And...the darker your skin color, the whiter your teeth will look, by contrast.
Also, tooth bleach (any type) will affect your natural tooth enamel layer and, eventually, break it down in time, just as tooth paste grit does.

So tanning to darken our skin is the preferred way to make our teeth look whiter?

Is there a recommended method for getting that kind of a deep tan?

All things considered, I think I'd prefer to just live with stained teeth.

Hehe.

So to recap - suggestions from this forum to upgrade my teeth service maintenance schedule is
1. Use modern Black 1000 Oral B rechargeable battery powered tooth brush (suggested by Professional Dentist) in preference to old fashioned rotary wire brush on high speed drill
2. Wear a Kaftan, with sandals & socks held up by garters (sandals esp. relevant if unit originated in Germany)
3. Use Plus White 5 Minute Whitening Gel tooth paste
4. Don't use tooth bleach (any type) as this will affect your natural tooth enamel layer and, eventually, break it down in time
5. Quit smoking (so by deduction drinking lots of coffee and Pino wine doesn't stain teeth then)
6. Darken skin tone to increase contrast (by tar and feathers (no mention of using a sun bed as this will include darkened toes)

Nice to hear that there's a forum consensus on the way forward on this particular issue. LOL!

Or you can keep drinking the coffee and wine, smoke all you like. Simply get all your teeth pulled out and get a set of false teeth! Hahaha.

By the way I love a good red too.
