Default Which Cat Would You Take?

Given an unlimited budget and time, what Jaguar past or present, would be your first choice to have? Daily Driver, Weekend Ride or Once a Year Treat, doesnít matter - what Jaguar would you have?

My heart lies with the XK120, E-Type, or the current XJ575 (assuming I could get it with an interior that isnít black).

On the face of it, Iím so happy with my Ď96 XJ, so perhaps Iíll keep her on my list too =D

But how about you all? Which Cat, past or present, would you choose?

Not strickly a Jag, but for me it has to be the Eagle Star Low Drag GT, which is based on the E-Type!

UM,

1) My MK7M., should never have parted with that sucker.
2) 420G, just because.
3) XJS, V12, up to 1987, Pre ABS.
4) X300R, should have kept that also.

After that, nothing really interesting, although the current chariots are an S Type and a X Type, oh boy, as Elinor says, "adequate vehicles".

I would be tempted on getting a newer supercharged XJL, but hten I would do some engine work to get the motor up to around 700 hp. You can get them supposedly up to 620 hp with nothing more than a new pulley and some tweaks to the tune via a dyno. I am sure with some exhaust work and some playing, you could hit the 700 hp region with no major issues. I think at that point, you start getting limited by the fuel injectors.

Steve McQueen's 1956 XKSS, affectionately known as "The Green Rat". Other than that car, I would also like to have Harley Earl's 1938 "Y Job"....

If we're talking *Perfect* condition and "well sorted," if I was presented with one of the later (NOT quarter-round tail lights!) XJS-V12 convertibles, in BLACK of course (I actually saw one on the street), I would be duty bound to accept it.

And then DRIVE THE WHEELS OFF!!

I'd love to have my dad's XK120 Alloy back... I'd settle for an XJ220 though.

I'd like a Eagle E-type Speedster. And a Pastrami on rye from the 2nd Ave Deli while you are at it.

I already have my XJS / Jacobra. But I'd Love to have a XKE V12 Coupe. Just my thoughts.

I've always been partial to the saloons. I think, looking forward from here, that my last Jag will be a Mk 2.
