Default A Monumental Timepiece by Vacheron Constantin

This watch is just beyond words to extol it's sublime features

57 Complications ,the number of complications are eponymous to the ref number along with the 260 years of non stop manufacturing according to many the finest watchmaking in the world .
The Ref Number is pretty simple in this sense : 57260 as opposed to complications ,I won't bore you what these are and how they work . You can learn them if you like

57 complications. 2,826 individual components, 242 jewels, 957 grams, 10 patents, 31 hands, 85 different prototypes, 16 kg of drawings, 8 years ....These are staggering figures of behind this watch .

This topic would be useless without photos of the watch .Let me remind you something you can't wear this watch on your wrist not because of it's being too ostentatious but because of it's design . It's designed as a pocket watch not a wrist watch

Default That is a big watch!

At 5 3/16 inches high and 1/64 inch shy of 2 inches thick, it is a mechanical marvel for sure, but rather impractical as a timepiece one would carry on their person.

Regardless, thanks for sharing this phenomenal timepiece with us.

Dont understand the complexities and the specialness of the item, but have alway enjoyed the quality and precision in Swiss engineering and craftsmanship. They are a special breed.

Perhaps still another special timepiece by Vacheron Constantin for those who have yet to learn how to tell the time.
