Ohhh, then that sounds like what politicians do.
Used in a sentence:
I heard a politician speak finutiae today...

I was really surprised here in France the other day. I was on a road joining a ring road round Caen and this road had two lanes going into one to join it. But as it was rush hour and there was a lot of traffic and it was moving slowley, the French just automatically went into the one lane and kept moving! Now I could never imagine anyone doing that in the UK!

People who open their car doors and slam them into the side of your beautiful Jag that you spend hours on every week making sure it's beautiful. I go out of my way to park as far away from everyone as I can and yet these turds still find me.

Just happened again today. I was parked as far out in the lot as I could get. Checked both sides of the car when I got back and sure enough someone dinged my door. They never have the common decency to stick around and admit it. I would if I did it to someone with my door, although I'm way too careful to do that to someone.

I spoke with the body shop the other day about repairing a ding that was on the door when I bought the car, would be about $600.00 they said.

I've got to figure out some way to put cameras on the car and try and catch them!

Thanks for letting me rant, I feel slightly better.

Steve

+1 @ #6!!
Since I came to live in California I have Little respect for the average driver.

They are the best argument against Darwinism, because if Darwin was right, those drivers would very soon become extinct instead of multiplying like they do.

My friend hates people who slam doors. However, he has a 2012 VW Jetta Sportwagen, and that car is damn hard not to slam the door on. As soon as you start pulling it, it suddenly slams itself shut!

I give people a free pass on door slamming, because whatever car they're used to doesn't close the same way. My wife constantly doesn't push my XKR's door closed hard enough (I didn't either, when I first got it), requiring a second closing attempt!!

Farmers. My father was was a farmer, my father-in-law is a farmer. I may love them, but I hate the general farmer. They get more tax breaks than anyone. No, most don't need a new "farm bill" from congress. Farmland is worth over $10,000 per acre. A cheap tractor $100,000-more expensive +$400,000. Combine $300k-$400k. Most farmers have around 1,000 acres, several tractors a combine and always are driving a new crew cab truck and have a new Cadillac/Lincoln (imports like Jags, Mercedes, BMW are considered too flashy). They all whine and complain about "not being able to afford...", yet only work 6-8 weeks out of the year and could spend the rest of their time actually doing something valuable. Now, a smaller farmer with under 200 acres is a totally different story.

That's not what really bothers me so much about them, though. In those few weeks out of the year that they do work, they are the only people in the world who have something to do. No consideration of others on the road. Their over-priced tractor taking up 3/4 of the road at 25mph spitting dirt clumps, rocks and all manner of other debris on the road. Turn signals-ha! forget about it. Pull out in front of you, only to turn within 1/4 mile...the list goes on.

And then, my #1 peeve about them. SPRAY! It's not bad enough they are spraying chemicals behind their tractor, no, they hire planes to fly overhead to make darn sure everyone in the area will have a premature fight with cancer. Look up a cancer map-the midwest is the worst in the world! Yup, I believe in organic foods. Drives the locals nuts when I tell them we only shop organic.

Oh yeah, then there's the hog/cattle/chicken confinements with their odors & flies. Not to mention the strong manure smells in the fall when they drain their pits and spread it on the farmland.

Still though, I'd rather live here on my lonely gravel road, in relative isolation (closest neighbor is 1 mile away) than live in an urban or suburban community. People in general make me feel claustrophobic.

Over here the farmers are smart; they hire eastern Europeans to do all the driving and annoying the **** off people; that way they can shrug their shoulders and blame it on the language difficulties.
Her indoors just writes their numbers down and reports them directly to the police. Who then go and see the farmer very quickly. I'm not being funny, they go round immediately.
Stacked hay wagon with a stacked trailer in tow, blind bend, 50mph plus in a 30 limit, 4 feet from our thatch, not funny.
Always tempted to lean out of the bedroom window and flick cigarette ends into the stack as they whistle past; it shouldn't get going properly until the next village by which time it is somebody elses problem!

Family that invite themselves for dinner, my nephew called to say he was going out of town for work for a while and asked did we want to catch up before he goes. I said this weekend would be good expecting to swing by their place for afternoon tea or a coldie.
His next question was "what do you want us to bring", the wife isn't happy having four visitors for Saturday dinner at short notice.
Tha'ts family for you I guess!

You should have replied that you would like him to bring enough curry/ pizza ( or food of choice) and enough beer and wine to feed and water your family and if he wants, some for himself.

18 wheelers.

They do 65 in a 75 speed zone on the Interstate. That in and of itself doesn't aggravate me. The problem comes when you get that one 18 wheeler doing 64. Then the guy doing 65 will pass him. It literally takes the guy 10 or 15 minutes to pass the other guy, and they form a rolling road block that doesn't let anyone get by.

They should implement a 70 mph minimum speed in the left lane of the interstate, punishable by beating with a garden hose.

Some kind of trance music , most of them put too much way over repeats over and over again therefore it's a rare opportunity that I find them ear worthy however without those irritating redundant high volume stuff or something like this we could find something fresh and nice

Finally getting round to fitting the overhaul kit for the boat engine water pump and finding that the kit only contains the oil side seal (which doesn't leak) and not the water side seal (which does leak).
Tossers.
I've got family coming down Sunday for a cruise on the Thames and the pump is now completely useless.
Luckily the marina owner is here and has lent me a brand new pump (250!) so at least that gets me out of the kaka.
Why don't they put all the replacement bits in a kit instead of only half of it?
Tossers.
