Seems to be a popular pastime at the moment.
A mate has just bought another drone which is slightly bigger than a mobile phone for 1200!
You ain't seen me right?

You too Jim.

We got the "cool change" early this AM. Today is going for 40c, yesterday was 44c, and not nice at all.

Down to the high 20's for the weekend, before climbing again next week.

Just gotta keep on keeping on.

Totally Loverly day here in the Great Central Valley of California!
Blue skies, not a cloud to be seen anywhere, light breeze from the North keeping all the SMOG down where they make it. Visibility infinite but for the mountains surrounding us, which we haven't seen in this detail for Months!
55F. Just right to work out side, except that I have everything done!
This is my Off Season and I'm Thoroughly enjoying it.
Sigh...

About 32 celsius here, just a gorgeous day, in and out of the pool and sticking around the house because the roads are like car parks with holiday/beach/boxing day sales traffic. Unusually pleasant for this time of year which is generally humid during the day with electrical storms in the afternoons.

It is raining again here.

A month and a half ago Baltimore broke its annual precipitation record.

Since then we have had a heck of a lot more rain.

Beautiful clear blue skies since Christmas Eve's rain. Temperature in the low to mid 60s. Love the California SF Bay Area. Happy new Year to all!

"Parts of the U.S. Government are closed. This site will not be updated; however NOAA websites and social media channels necessary to protect lives and property will be maintained".

All local forecasts get their data from NOAA here in the USA. The above is what they are showing on their website now.

The Saturday coming forecast has gone from 1-3" of snow to 3-5" Saturday night 1-3" Sunday and now to <1".

When I came to this part of the world, I discovered I could do about as well as the TV weather person merely by watching the Pacific satellite animation from Intellicast. Temperature and pressure gradients are a little tricky, but I'm not usually concerned about them anyway. I only want to know if it will rain on my work.

Currently -11C (12F) and snowing like crazy. 20-30cm predicted (1ft).
I'm cancelling my appointments for the rest of the day, probably tomorrow too. Then I'm going home, start a nice fire and curl up with a novel and 3 fingers of single malt. Right in the middle of a work day.
"Nice" weather is overrated.

I don't envy you one bit! We had some freezing rain over the night, but its turned to rain and it's expected to get to 43F (6C) tonight which is just a bit better then what it sounds like you are going through haha

After 2 inches of rain in the past week, the first storm of which dumped snow in the high country, this morning it's FOG season in the Great Central Valley of California.

Can't see 50 feet to the Oleander hedge behind the house!
It will be Way beyond dangerous into downright Foolhardy to be on the roads this morning!
