No one can say weather in California is BORING!

I feel for those in that area, no good to be there
Now if the idiots in charge of the state could get their act together and save that water we would be in great shape for future droughts.

It has been top-down weather every afternoon coming home from work this week. Nice to let the XKR run around topless for a little while. It sounds even more impressive that way when one is in the cockpit.

Just under 30.0" of rain so far this season with much more to come. Not too bad for the edge of the desert in SoCal.
Radar predictions show rain almost allll week long. For years, it's been a drought, now it's almost too much of a good thing. BUT, I'm not complaining, we still need it. My city water bill is the lowest I've had in decades, no lawn/yard watering since November with more to come.

Ah, the strange glowing object in the sky.
Heard of it but thought it was an old wives tale.
An old wife told me.

Here in NYC, USA, we used to have a joke whenever we had a super mild winter with very little show. We used to say "Hey, what do you expect? It can't snow in H__L!" We were referring to our city as the equivalent to the Hades.
We had one of those Hades winters here in NYC. But I had to do a lot of driving to the next-door states this winter, and let me tell you, Connecticut and NJ got some of the nastiest, treacherous, life-taking winter storm conditions I've ever had to drive through. And I've had my fill of this year's winter.

It's winding down to 40 and 50 F around here every day, and I'm planning to swap out my tires in the next two weeks.
If anyone has heard of Nokain Tyres, and has thought about trying one of there winter designs, DO IT! You won't regret the purchase---most incredible winter tires I've ever traveled on. Nokian!

Time now to try out some Nokian all-season versions. Their non-winter performance tires are supposed to be just as impressive, and I'm eager to get the kind of spring weather I can roll down the windows in, and shift the transmission to Sport gear.
Enough poor snow in NY. Enough evil snow from NJ. I'm ready for some layers of sneezy green pollen and sticky tree husks on my car. All that green and yellow coating of dust that you have to hose off every three days.

Hmmm... hosing it off every three days isn't too bad. Where I live (Shenandoah Valley of Virginia), you can hose it off three times a day and still have a coating on the car! I wholeheartedly agree with you though, I am ready for Spring!!!

California hasn't had rain for a WHOLE WEEK!!
Not only that, the North Wind came up a couple days ago and blew for 2 straight days sucking all that rain right out of the ground!

Now, instead of Squishy lawns, I have Rock Hard Cement lawns with a few sprigs of green sticking up.
Well, actually a LOT of green sticking up.

They say, we MAY be through with the hard rains for the season (I can't Wait till July, my Favorite), but they're still nagging about a weak system coming onshore next Saturday, 3/23/19, which is the day for our March Jaguar club drive. If there's a cloud anywhere on the West Coast Nix stays home and I'll be Forced to drive one of the Brand Xs
DRAT!

After quite a bit of rain and even a hailstorm it was clear and up to 70 degrees. It has been a beautiful week but the rain is coming back next week.
