Dubai xf exhaust upgrade
Good evening all! I'm the proud owner of Jag XF 2012 5.0. I love the drive but want to make the exhaust sound more 'sexy'. Don't want to spend massive bucks and don't want to put her through a major operation...any advice or suggestions here in Dubai are greatly appreciated!

Hello everyone,
The powertrain seems to be good. The big issues at hand are
Air compression fault
Gearbox fault
Fuel empty
Above 3 appear only randomly, so this may indicate that these are not a permanent fault and could appear due to corrosion on connectors, or some sensor faults, or even the programming fault. Al Tayer did a basic free campaign check up, but did not give a clear picture of the issues and, somehow felt there are not interested in it because it was free. They just gave small list of visible issues (very minor and not important).
They are too expensive for a small thing too. Any idea which garage can prove to be the best professional ?
Thanks in advance to all.

(but much much cheaper than what Al Tayer had given the estimate of). Even the fuel efficiency also improved. I am happy at least I found someone who is a professional gearbox repair specialist, and a good service too. I had it checked in Al Tayer in the past, they gave a rough estimate of 40K and 2 months time as they said they would send it to UK for repairs. Strange.
If anyone in UAE needs to get their gearbox repaired can contact this guy. He repairs any model any make. Hope this helps all.

agree totally ! they do rip you off for nothing .what really hurts is the 0 resale v
they d rip you off absolutely not worth it unless it is major engine work. even if it is major engine work maybe better to just junk the car considering the 0 resale value.. its sweet till it lasts !

Hmm, I think I'm not able yet to send private messages in this forum... I've put my phone number here: https://justpaste.it/bmzxh , can you please add me? I did not want to put the number directly in the post, because I also cannot edit posts...
Sorry for the trouble, from what I've found there is some grace period for new users when we have limited access to the forum.

Good evening all,
Hope everyone is well. Just joined the form, have a XFR 2010 with spires exhasut system on it sounds sweet. My supercharger has been making odd noises recently so i took the plunge and ordered and uprated supercharger/pully which should arrive in the next 10 days. Should be up to 650 BHP !! Cant wait. Looking for a garage you can trust to install it correctly. Was going to attempt to do it myself as i though this would be safer than letting a back end garage do it but kind of in two minds. Anyone here do work on thier own cars ? As the charger is coming off i have also got a load of replacement pipes for the back of the engine along with water hoses aparently that are prone to breaking. Now the question is do i also do the timing chain on it ? its got 166,000km on the clock ive had it since 90k always serviced it and tried to keep on top of anything that needs doing. Also interested in getting on the Jag whats app group if someone can point me in the right direction.
