Looking for a little help on..
 

Hey Everyone,
I'm the newest of Nubbies around here and have some concerns. I've got a line on a very nice 1997 XJR within my modest pricerange and, being the performance enthusiest (sp?) that I am, I've been looking for some basic performance goodies for it. I know that somewhere there is at least one XJR running around with 400+WHP, there has to be, somewhere. I'm not looking for anything too crazy. The stock I-6 Supercharged motor is putting out, what around 320hp at the crank? (Very respectable) I'm looking for somewhere or someone that is manufacturing maybe a header for the I-6 and a free-flowing exhaust system. I've already seen one person on ebay (man I hate ebay) selling a supercharger underdrive kit. I just want to bump up the performance a little. Thinking, free up the intake and exhaust, tune the ECU a little better (there is always a little more power hiding in the stock ECU), and get a little better suspension (lower MAYBE an inch) to get the stance a little sleeker. Anyone have any ideas?

Now, before anyone thinks of flaming me for the injustices that has been brought upon enthusiests like myself by , dare I say it, The Fast and The Furious; let me just say that I'm not trying to defile the XJR. I feel that it is a well balanced machine in it's stock form. But, personally, I would like a little more out of it performance wise. I wouldn't think of touching the exterior save for a little tint on the windows, and upgrading to some wheels that suit me a little better. Currently, I LOVE the stock exterior styling of ALL the Jags.

Another area in question is the stock stereo. I have been looking a the design and pictures of other XJR's and have yet to see one with any type of aftermarket stereo. Personally, I have yet to sample the stock stereo due to me living/working in Japan and the car of my dreams being in the United States, (a problem which I will be correcting in the following months). I would really like to have the option of listening to my iPod in the car soon after my purchase, so an aftermarket install kit is going to be in order. (If anyone can point me in the direction of where I could find one, I would be grateful.)
