New Jaguar XE Coupe
2 Attachment(s)
Here are some pictures of the proposed XE coupe. The rear view looks pretty good and seems to resemble the Aston Martin Vantage. The front view is somewhat busy but is fairly aggressive. Hopefully, it will be a lot lighter than the XK and will offer a manual transmission. If it were up to me, I would make it a fairly hard edged sports car and as light as possible.

I saw that car too . I find it more attractive over current XK models

I would like mine in Botanical Metallic Green and a Tan interior.

Very nice... Wonder how much of that will make to production???

I love it... If they release it, I bet it will cut Mercedes SL sales in half.

Like Paris HIlton would say, "that's hot."

Not too sure about the bags under the eyes.

I saw that article in (I think) Top Speed magazine; those photos are magazine-commissioned artist renderings: they're not from Jaguar, so don't get too excited (or dismayed) by them just yet.
What really interests me is that Jaguar's engineering boss wants to make a 3series coupe/A5 competitor. An aluminum-built Jaguar coupe that's meant to be compete and is priced to compete against the 3series (meaning that it'll be a 2+2) with modern Jaguar design and engineering? How can we make this happen? http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsAr...llCars/243264/ |
Hi rohitht,
There have been a number of interesting rumors coming out of Jaguar lately. I've heard of the X-Type replacement also, but not sure if they're talking about the XE sports car or a small 2+2. I've heard that an XF coupe is on the horizon as well as station wagon. The most interesting to me are the heritage rumors. These center on C and D-Types with modern running gear at the high end and upgraded MKIIs at the medium end. Mike |
