Oh, garages are for cars? Mine hasn't housed one in about 20 years. I started cleaning mine out a couple of weeks ago, it's probably the first time I've been able to walk into it in probably 1o years. The goal is to get my XKR and Pantera in within the next few months. Your garage may inspire me to actually get it done.

Tberg, I never understood why people keep a thousand dollars worth of stuff in there garage and then keep there car worth a couple of ten thousand outside? Plus then you get in your car in the winter and go, no snow to remove or ice to scrape, or during the summer you don't burn your backside from hot seats!

If I kept the Pantera outside for 15 minutes, it would be a rust bucket. I keep it and my 280z in a locked garage at our office a couple of blocks from my house. The GTO and Corvette are in restoration and under cover. My XKR is kept outside, but is wiped or washed clean almost every day, and here in the San Fernando Valley part of L.A., we only get about half a dozen days of rain per year, no snow (well once in the last century), and very mild weather. (Most of the past week has been in the low to mid 80's). But ultimately, you're right, after 35 years of living in the same house, the wife, three kids, customer's stuff...it just keeps accumulating, and it becomes easier to throw it in the garage rather than sort everything out. So, I decided to start the emptying out process a couple of weeks ago and now will do a little every week until my goal is reached. Hopefully in a few months I can post a photo of a neat and tidy garage with my XKR in it.

Here is the garage that houses some of my cars. It's our prototype fully automated one that is a few blocks from my house. Below is a link to a story done on this garage which happens to feature my XKR and Pantera.

Beautiful for sure....but, room for two cars in there you know
Ya gotta have a garage... here's mine (visible in reflection) ...
As much as I like the OP's floor (and everything else) the carpet runner ^ gave me the idea to buy a giant remnant and carpet the whole thing. Very comfortable for laying down on (and cheaper)... I'll try to get a pattern that won't show the occasional leak, but even if it does, it'll be underneath the car right?
