2000 Vanden Plas Supercharged - Boulder CO
Alright, I'm going to try and post this again. I think I've got the bonafides to post in the classified now!
I've got an x308 VDP Supercharged that I bought with the intent of sprucing up a bit, enjoying for a while, and then selling on Bring-a-Trailer. It turns out that BaT gets hundreds of submissions per day and only accepts a few, so it's fairly difficult to get your car list there. I was confident that I could sell it on BaT without a reserve and get a fair price, but now a have to figure what the market price is for this thing. With so few around, it's hard to get a feel for how much of a premium the supercharger adds to the VDP.
Obviously, I'm looking to sell the car, but I'm also interested in getting feedback on what you all think it's worth.
I'll add a boatload of photos soon.
If you want to check out the car in person, the contact info in the CL ad is the fastest way to get in touch.

Nice car, I have a 1999. I'm curious about the need for suspension swap. I thought the CATS system had few problems. May I ask what happened, in case I run into the same?
Thanks,
Rob

I ended up replacing bushings and ball joints, but the suspension swap was done by the previous owner, but my understanding was that it is such an expensive system to service, if anything needs replacing, then it is more reasonabe for a higher mileage car to just fit it with standard suspension.

I follow BaT and that would not have been a good forum for selling this car. The "people eat up with talking about s@it they know nothing about" are so prevenlent now on BaT that any car that has had some mod's will be torn apart. Jaguars are a hard sell on BaT anyway for their perceived "issues" by the same group.
Good luck with the sell, nice looking car.

try a fixed price sale, with best offer. Then you can negotiate with low-ballers as the sale progresses. No Reserve = potential of selling too cheap

That's a great point, but it is unfortunately time to sell, and since I'm not sure what to ask, but it really has to go, there's not much choice.
I'll update the ad once I post the eBay listing
