HA...You put on the auction that it has a clean title. It had an accident in 03...and the airbags were deployed. Just thought that I'd mention that minor detail.

i gotta agree with bigdreams - it seems really shady to list it clean and clear and not divulge it was in an accident that caused the airbags to deploy.

Lots of people sell cars that have had paintwork or if the airbags have been deployed, wrecked, and either dont know it or dont disclose it. Thats why the buyer has to be very careful...I wouldnt even trust carfax...always use a paint meter ( one of the best ways of truely telling). I'm considering adding an A8 to the garage. Like the XJs they are all aluminium and most people arent qualified to repair one that has been wrecked. Heres a link to one that appears on autotrader and ebay. look at the tail lights where the trunk and body come together. Notice the poor alignment, common in crappy repair jobs. The seller neither says anything about it nor denys it. It might even have a clear carfax....either way its obv the car was wrecked.

Man....that boot shut line is out a mile...really bad.
Although I'm sure its just a matter of poor adjustment, but you'd obviously say it had been rear ended at some point!

I just ran it, and it clears carfax. No accidents no nothing. Producerdavid...a clean car is supposed to be just that. A CLEAN car. Having your air bags previously deployed no longer keeps it in clean status.

Nice biggie good to let everyone know that! Hey bmw...couldn't you say that perhaps someones head got shut in the trunk and put it out of alignment! Pretty sure biggie would like to use that trunk on his cousin right about now!

lmao, still bringin that incedent up.
I don't know how eager I would be to get an 04 A8, I don't know that much about audi's but my almost 80 year old cousin got a practically free 04 A8 from his son in law who owns continental Motors, which is an audi dealer among all the brands they sell, and he aid there were just so many mechanical problems with that car, the worst car he ever owned. He gave it back to his son and got a lexus I believe.

My ex boss's mom drives one...man I've always liked those...surprised they had lots of problems I thought vw/audi were good brands to buy for reliability....

Like I said I know very little about audi, that may just be that specific brand, but I thought VW was know for un reliability. I've never met someone who has had a Jetta that wasnt completly unreliable, always falling apart. plus VW is always having these massive recalls.

Really...I've known a few people with audi/vw and seem like they are nice reliable vehicles...I drove a 2000 2001 beetle and it was nice and she beat it up and can't say it had any problems...it was one of the first new bugs to come out...hmmmmm....oh well...I'd rather have a jag anyways!

Audi and VW are known for their reliability...I have a buddy who bought a 10 year old golf mk 11 and drove like a dream.......he loved it.
My 07 A6 has 15k miles on it in a little over 4 months and its never missed a beat, servicing due at approx 20k miles
Its all good as far as I'm concerned

15K miles???? WTF bro, are you trying to kill it in one year? You're on pace for a 45K mile year.

lol, Well considering Robert Deniro demoed an A8 to a Ls430(calling it nothing but a toyota which i loved) owner in the movie Analyze That and pointed out how many bodys could fit in the trunk, a head could have caused it. But the A8 is for my mother who prefers it over an XJR/Super V8 and it might be newer then 04 just depends on pricing and if we find the color combo and options we want wtih low miles. We will def have the 100k full warranty and optioned out (19s, ac seats, power trunk, sunshades, etc).

Lol.......thanks for your concern Biggie
Its all good though, startin to slow up now and probably will end up around the 30k mark for the year which isn't too bad.
Will be due its 1st service in the next month or so, probably around the 19k mark as the service intervals are variable depending on driving style etc etc.........The first 2 years service are of course FREE
