Hello fellow Jaguar XK8 owners,this forum has always been a good source for me when I needed help or advice when fixing or troubleshooting my car in the past.

I had an accident in my 98 rag top last weekend and sadly she has to be put to sleep. Before I sent her the the local Jag graveyard I'd like to give fellow members a chance at some parts, I know how expensive they can be through the dealer or even wrecking yards. hopefully the death of my baby wont be in vein, and I can help out the living. I am not giving parts away but I assure I will be very fair. If you need something please contact me through this post I will check it daily and let you know if the part is salvagable. I am in northern California but am willing too ship parts if its feasible.

I am also looking for another 98-2001 XK8 to take her place, if anyone out there has one I may be interested for the right price. Thanks

 

I'm sorry to hear about your unfortunate circumstances, but we appreciate you helping out those hunting parts. Looking at your profile, I presume you have the blue exterior with a dove interior? Are all your interior parts still salvagable? What was damaged in your accident that basically isn't avialable?

 

Yes, blue exterior cream int with light brown accents (dash cap etc.). car was hit in the front right. airbags deployed. so hood, right fender, windshield and misc parts are trash.

 

I send my sympathy for the demise of your XK.
The things I need are a little unusual - switch covers. The switches work, but I'm missing a few covers. The passenger door window cover, the passenger seat switch front most cover, the driver seat center switch cover, the cover from the driver seat back release, and the handle to open the glove compartment. All of the switches, the seat back release, and even the glove compartment function, they're just missing the actual piece that the fingers contact to operate. If you are able to help, it would be appreciated.

Are you in the L.A. area? If so, I'd like to come by & pick up a few items.

A/C pressure switch.
ABS computer.
ABS sensors & harnesses if good.
Maybe a swap of the wheels & tires? One of mine is starting to peel.
Shift knob, if dark.
Rearview mirror.
Basically the whole car is needed
