Default £900/$1400 2001 S Type Update

Hi

Posted few weeks ago about my bargin (till it goes wrong) 'new' jag.

Idea was to get it mechanically decent and not worry about the less than perfect body work. Well after 2000 trouble free miles the sun came out and I got all precious about it. So taking advantage of the unseasonally warm weather in the south UK I am currently spending the days with a pot of paint and an artists brush dealing with countless scratches and stone chips. Think it'll be worth it! At this rate I'll be giving it a name.

Andy

Mine is black, so I just took a Sharpie marker and colored in all the scratches on the hood. I figure it's one of those "20 footer" repairs - looks good from 20 feet away. Can't be as bad as a long, primer grey scratch going up the hood!

Loved pic #1. Clearly you've got an eye for a good photo (and probably a tripod and star filter?).

Exactly my thought. Luckily mines is turning out a ten footer so happy with that.

Hi.

Thanks. Yes i used tripod but no fancy filters just long exposures no flash. I only have a $500 Fuji bridge camera but I recently read the manual properly and discovered it can take some decent shots in manual mode!

Cheers

Now you've got that sorted you can work on your '3 bay' parking technique.
