03 StypeR: Wireharness Connector?
Fine folks of the Forum
Thanks for much help in the past, hoping to plumb the collective knowledge base once again....
Situation is thus: Went to replace an ignition coil, and in the process of snapping the wireharness connector onto the new coil, sheared the clip attached to the wireharness half of the connector.
So, 4 pin connector on ignition coil = fine
and
Connector on wireharness = busted
As the connector seems to pin out to the wireharness leads, I am hopeful I can remove the leads from the body of the broken connector and simply replace the broken connector with one less broken.
Questions as follows:
1) Can I find a new direct replacement connector for the wireharness somewhere, dealer or online?
2) If I need to search for a used, snip it off a Pull-A-Part donor ride, does anyone have any idea if these connectors are specific to Jag?
thanks for help in advance

No car manufacturer makes electrical plugs. So all the plugs and pig tails are from aftermarket suppliers.
I would get a new one because they are plastic and anything you find in the junk yard will be old and brittle too.
The biggest problem is there are hundreds and maybe thousands of different plugs. Look at Ford plugs because they owned Jaguar at that time.
These guys will have it if you can match up the plug.

Guys
Thanks for the help - downloaded the catalog, and book marked the site.
In the end, I clipped a couple connectors from a salvage vehicle.
Prior to that I contacted Wells (they do the ign coils) in Fond du lac WI for assistance - they were good folks, but our searches proved of no benefit.
So, I've got a slavage connector, clipped in fine - it's an improvement over the zip tie for the last few days.
