Hi all thanks in advance for any support offered. I just purchased a 2000 s-type v6 with about 130,000 mile. clean florida car driven by and oler man, it a great bargain.
So obviously she needs a few things...
Nothing to bad, accept i can hear the upper right chain tensioner slapping something awful.
It seems like a pain in the butt but nothing impossible. THE BIG PROBLEM....

Why can i not find a single v6 upper chain tensioner ANYWHERE? every last link i click says 4.0 V8.

AM i missing something here? my only conclusion is the v8 and v6 share the same tensioner therfore thats what shows online....

Can someone confirm this? and/or lead me in the right direction of where the heck to find these damn things.

 

You can check parts info to see if they're the same but I doubt they are. V6 is a Ford engine and AJ V8 is Jaguar.

 

I've tried googls, jagparts. Com, etc. Everything listed is 4.0 v8. I literally cannot find
a single v6 chain tensioner.

 

The V6 has a different arrangement from the V8.
Incidentally, the engine was designed by Jaguar but built in Ford's Cleveland plant.

You can also try looking up the parts as listed for a Lincoln LS as that vehicle also used the Duratec V6.
