2001 S-type 3.0
good evening and Happy Nee Year I need some help figuring this out ... its been a few days I’ve been driving with the electric fan coming on and then I realized the car was low on coolant ... added some WaterWetter , just to realize it’s leaking from the water pump . Changed the water pump yesterday and didn’t know about bleeding the coolant ... today I installed a new thermostat and poured the coolant into the upper hose ... Gets hot ... What did I miss ? |
you have a air lock more than likely. the small hose that goes to the top of the reservoir is the bleed hose. remove it and fill till coolant bubble out. I also like to then start the car with heater on high to purge a little more air. close it up and run at 2000rpm and you should be good unless you have another issue
