Default S-Type 2.5 - 3.0 Injector Resistance Values?

Hello

I suspect one of my injectors is not working right. Does anyone knows the normal values of the injectors resistance for this car? Help will be well apreciated 👍🏻

Do you have a code pointing to this injector?
Why do you suspect it being bad?

The OBD diagnostic was giving a P0205 and P0201 code error, injector or injector circuit malfunction. Today i bought a multimeter and saw the resistance of the 6 injectors. All of them are ok, same values of 14.0 Ohms. Next i went to see the resistance of the ignition coils, on bank 1 i have 3 coils from Jaguar brand(Fomoco- Ford). And on bank 2 i have 3 coils from NGK, the strange thing is that both brands are giving very different resistance values. Normal? Or they alway have to get the same resistance independent of the brand?

I have not found a bad coil or injector by measuring anything? They seem to measure fine regardless if they are good or bad. I do know Ford went to great lengths when the first COP systems came out because everyone was replacing the coils but they were not bad? Ford then required all their dealers to get a Coil stress tester machine. The problem is the coils operate at high voltage and any type of regular meter just can't perform that kind of measurement and you can only see a static reading.

Best way for me is to get a code like you did and then swap the coil or injector to a different cylinder and see if the code follows it to the new cylinder. I also try to NOT just replace one coil. They are all old at this point and replacing them in sets is better but also more expensive.

So swap cylinder 5 or 1 injector with another one to see what changes. Also with the codes you have been getting are you clearing them out so we can see what comes back?

To the OP, it might be a good idea to report your results in your original thread; this is so we can follow the troubleshooting process without have to refer to multiple threads and possibly miss something important along the way...

In the past I have used a bottle of 'Techron' Injector cleaner once every 6 months as a 'cleaning' agent for my injectors. Although I use premium fuel, I don't think it would hurt to 'clean out' the injectors occasionally, due to current poor fuel quality.
